Helping to reduce single-use plastics at Bristol’s big events

Our engagement team have been extra busy in recent months, being out and about in the community supporting a range of local events, helping to reduce the use of single-use plastics across the region.

Over the summer, we have hydrated people at several of the city’s best-loved events, including the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, Keynsham Festival, Bristol Half Marathon, and the Festival of Nature. Our mission extends beyond delivering water to our customers; it’s about making a positive impact in the communities we serve.

These events draw thousands of visitors each year, and by providing free drinking water through fill-up stations and our ever-popular Water Bar, we have made it easier for revellers to stay refreshed without relying on single-use plastic bottles. The Water Bar is always very popular with the public and performers alike, and is quite often in demand!

In addition, this all supports our commitment to the environment, and we aim to be carbon neutral by 2030. Protecting the environment is a responsibility we all take seriously, and we’re committed to finding ways to contribute to a more sustainable future.

We were also proud to support the LGBTQIA+ community during Bristol Pride in July, a vibrant celebration of diversity and inclusion that highlights the importance of equality and awareness for all.
