We’re delighted to be sponsoring a number of Pride events across North Somerset this Pride month.
The North Somerset LGBT+ Forum is hosting community Pride events on three weekends in June, beginning in Nailsea this Saturday (8 June) at the Ring O Bells pub.
Further events will be staged at Portishead Youth Centre on Sunday 23 June and in Clevedon at The Old Inn on Saturday 29 June.
They will feature talent from the North Somerset area, including local bands and drag queens and kings, as well as a range of stalls from independent makers, local charities and artisan crafts. Plus, there’ll be fun activities and games to celebrate diversity and inclusion.
June is Pride month. It’s all about equality and shining a light on the LGBT+ community, along with educating about LGBT+ history and raising awareness of issues affecting these groups.
Steve Winter-Gray, Chair of North Somerset LGBT+ Forum, said: “We’re thrilled to be co-hosting three community Pride events across the district, as we recognise there are LGBT+ individuals and their allies in all areas of North Somerset who deserve a safe space to celebrate Pride month.
“As a registered charity, we rely wholly on donations and fundraising, so our trustees and volunteers are incredibly grateful to Bristol Water for their support.”
We’re also pleased to announce we’ll be supporting Bristol Pride with our popular Water Bar on Saturday 13 July. Everyone attending is encouraged to bring a reusable bottle to fill up for free.
